Introduction
AzAd Labs ("we," "us," or "our") operates AzAd Workspace and related services, including AzadMail, Azad Contacts, and the workspace admin console (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account and profile data — name, email address, organization affiliation, role, profile photo, and preferences you set in mail or admin settings.
- Mail and contact content — messages, attachments metadata, contacts, and labels stored to provide inbox, search, and directory features. Mail content is processed through our mail infrastructure and may be indexed for search where that feature is enabled.
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, sign-in timestamps, session identifiers, and actions recorded in audit logs for security and administration.
- Organization branding — logos and settings your administrator uploads for your organization.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Authenticate users and enforce organization policies (including MFA);
- Deliver mail, contacts, and admin functions you request;
- Monitor security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your mailbox content to train third-party AI models.
Sharing and processors
We share data only as needed to operate the Services — for example with infrastructure providers (hosting, DNS, mail delivery) bound by confidentiality obligations. Your organization's administrators can access directory and audit data for users in their tenant. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Retention and security
We retain data for as long as your account or organization subscription requires, or as needed for legal and backup purposes. We use encryption in transit (TLS) for web and mail protocols and apply access controls in our control-plane databases. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use strong passwords and enable MFA when offered.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Mailbox users should contact their organization administrator first; administrators may reach us at privacy@azademail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The Services are intended for organizations and are not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
